1641 Marriage of Princess Mary and William of Orange 71mm electrotype brass copy E137ref MI 287/10 UNC

This electrotype copy, made in 19th century, comes in two parts which are negative molds i.e. negative representations of the original medal, meaning the raised and recessed areas are reversed - this is a necessary intermediate process. The final process involves putting metal into the negative mood to build a positive copy of each side of the medal and then putting the halves together.
